Gupha Pokhari

Gupha Pokhari
This is a wonderful place to go trekking. I together with my college friends started a 3 days trekking roughly 9 hrs a day. This place lies at an altitude of about 2900m above sea level. There are Sherpas living in this area. GufaPokhari- named after the sacred pond as seen on the picture above also known as DOLPHIN POND, well upon looking carefully we can see the bottle nose and the fin as well.
This place holds a key memento because we(there were six of us- name: BIJAY SHRESTHA, BISHAL THAPA MAGAR, MAHENDRA GURUNG, PRATIBIMBA STHAPIT, BIKASH SHRESTHA and myself DEEPAK GURUNG). At around 6.30pm we were lost in such a dense forest, i have never walked my life. Lots of fog and shorter days made those time like the midnight- so dark and to top it up we had a simple measly lighter with a worst ever miniature led light, it was just a nightmare...........but, the trip came to the destination by the help of a 62 yrs old farmer, who was looking after the cattles at the hightlands.
People live such life of a herder at such altitude for milk production and cheese. We six of us were saved by that old man, he literally guided us to our destination and even help us set up a hotel.
Thanks to that old man.
GUFA POKHARI is the gateway to TAPLEJUNG and ultimately to the world's 3rd highest peak of the World, MT. KANCHANJUNGA II.
I too have some of the cool picture on the way to GUFAPOKHARI.

So, these above are some of my favourite pictures and all of them are photographed by me.
This place is a must see and reach to place, it is just havenly and is spectacular. TMJ- TINJURE, MILKE AND JALJALE- places recognized by the UNESCO as the most spectacular rhododendron garden of the world- why? because out of 32 species of rhododendron about 27 of them are found in this region.

Well to reach such marvellous place we started our trekking from the headquarter of PACHTHAR- Fiddim and started a 8 and half hrs trekking to a great place called TERATHUM- Sakranti and next day after nearly 11 hrs of trekking and being lost on a dangerous forest finally reached GUFAPOKHARI and further next day we had a ultimate look of this marvellous place and moved down towards the headquarter of TERATHUM- Myaglung Bazar.
The first 8 and half hrs trek really had a toll on us(city dwellers) and here below is the picture.
Sakranti(Gupha Pokhari)
So, have a go at such a wonderful place once in your lifetime.
This is the essence of nature, it's power is alluring and very much heavenly.

Mission to Mars

I personally feel the multi-million dollars project carried out by NASA to further understand Mars is just a waste of time and money.
I strongly believe that instead of trying to understand whether there is water or not in Mars, we first need to understand the essence of the planet, that is the possibility to identify and understand our own future.
We all must first try to understand the present condition of Mars and make a view to understand the potential threat that our planet holds to become on day in near future(i.e. be like Mars one day).
What I am trying to outline is the importance of creating a conclusive statement out of the present condition of Mars.
We humans are capable of creating a world out of mere dreams but, that's all been possible through the understanding and depth study of mother nature Earth. So, as this mother has given us such potential and power we must oblige too. Instead of dreaming of living in Mars, Moon or any other planets it's time to act to maintain and preserve what we have and where we come from?
